Forestdale Fathering Initiative Celebrates Stepping Up Ceremony

What:

With the holidays in full swing, Forestdale is proud to host a celebration of fathers and families. At the semi-annual Stepping Up Ceremony, 70 recent graduates of the Forestdale Fathering Initiative will celebrate their continued commitment to their children. All participating fathers have completed '24/7 Dad' parenting course offered by the Forestdale Fathering Initiative. Following the ceremony, there will be a holiday luncheon and surprise gifts for the children.

One of the oldest fathering programs in New York City, the Fathering Initiative is generously funded by the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development, the Child Welfare FundBaby Buggy and other supporters. It provides parenting education, career development, co-parenting counseling and an alumni network to 250 fathers every year.
