Saturday, November 1st, 2014: 12pm – 4pm
The Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning (JCAL) staff and volunteers transform the 1895 landmark Renaissance style headquarters into a fun-filled haunted house for children and families. While Halloween time can involve more tricks than treats JCAL holds this annual event to provide a haven for its young people throughout the community filled with fun activities. The Halloween Family Fun Day offers treats, costume contests, art & crafts, a “Thriller” dance workshop and prizes.
Volunteers from local Youth Service Organizations within the community participate in this annual activity in helping with the set up and performing as “Creepy Characters” in the Haunted House tour. The activities will take place throughout the building which will also give first time visitors a full tour of the Jamaica Center for Arts & Learning dance studios, classrooms and theater.
The festivities for the day will start at 12noon and proceed throughout the day and end at 4pm. Admission is FREE for all. Check our website, www.jcal.org for more details or contact us at (718)658-7400 x123 regarding JCAL Family Fun Day events throughout the year.
