The roster for the
Inaugural Season of Brooklyn Bolts football has started to take shape as
training camp opens in Coral Springs, FL. The team features players from
football factories like Notre Dame, Auburn, Oregon, Georgia, Florida and
Tennessee.
At the Quarterback
position, Corey Robinson - who is one of just five quarterbacks in
NCAA FBS history to throw for over 3,000 yards and accumulate 3,000 yards
of totel offense in four different seasons. The Paduch, KY native
who attended Troy University ranks ninth all-time with 13,477 career passing
yards. He will be competing with Kolton Browning from the University of
Lousiana-Monroe. The former All-Sun Belt signal caller finished his
senior campaign with 2,179 passing yards and 23 touchdowns despite missing two
games due to injury.
Joining Robinson
and Browning in the back field are Dennis Johnson - who appeared in eight games
for the Houston Texans last season, and Mario Fannin, who was a member of the
2011 BCS Champion Auburn Tigers. Fannin spent three seasons with the
Denver Broncos organization following his time with the Auburn Tigers.
Another
recognizable name on the Bolts roster is Mike Golic, Jr. who spent four seasons
with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He has spent parts of the last two years
with the New Orleans Saints and Pittsburgh Pirates. His father is a
host of the national radio program Mike & Mike on ESPN Radio.
