GET YOUR SPOONFUL OF SUGAR IN ASTORIA PARK



The Central Astoria Local Development Coalition announces the second film of the 2016 Movies on the Waterfront series in Astoria Park with the all-time classic Mary Poppins being shown on August 1st at 8:30pm.
Mary Poppins is a musical fantasy film directed by Robert Stevenson and combines live-action and animation, starring Julie Andrews in the role of Mary Poppins. The film received a total of 13 Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture, and aside from that is known as a classic.
Mary Poppins will be shown on Astoria Park’s Great Lawn on Shore Boulevard between the Hell Gate Bridge and Astoria Pool on August 1st at 8:30pm, so make sure to join us!
The 2016 Movies on the Waterfront Series continues on Monday evenings throughout August featuring these movies:

8/8 ~ Minions
8/15 ~ Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
8/22 ~ Jaws

Flatbush Avenue Street Fair on Sat. July 9!

Don't miss the annual Flatbush Avenue Street Fair on Sat. July 9 from noon to 6pm! Flatbush's annual street party will be rain or shine and will feature tons of shopping as well as:
  • the 107.5 WBLS Street Team.
  • Kids' rides at Clarkson Ave. (pick up free tickets for rides at participating Flatbush Ave. stores between Clarkson and Parkside, while supplies last)
  • Ticket giveaways and the NYPD climbing wall at the Kings Theatre.
