VP Records in Jamaica Queens Hosts Book Signing

VP Records is an independent record label, located in Queens, New York. It is best known for releasing music by Jamaican artists. The company started in 1979 and has gone on to become the world's biggest reggae and Caribbean music label and distributor.

They are hosting a book signing with Dr. Shelly Cameron, author of Success Strategies of Caribbean American Leaders in the United States, this Saturday April 2nd from 1PM to 3PM at their retail store located at 170-21 Jamaica Avenue in Jamaica NY. Call 718-297-5802 for more details

This book provides youths and ethnic minorities with the strategies of how to be successful. Readers will be exposed to the traits of successful Caribbean American leaders; the challenges they encountered after migration; strategies they used to overcome the challenges; and the factors that most influenced their success. Narratives of their journey are explored as well as investigation to determine whether the challenges are common to other ethnic groups with similar issues. Join us as we embark on this journey - to those areas that youths and individuals in transition can take to become successful in their lives

St. Patrick's Day in Queens

Bourbon Street is hosting a spectacular St. Patrick's day celebration with bagpipers, Irish dancers and Live music from Shannon Breeze and the official opening of the rooftop for 2016
